“In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes.” This famous quote has been repeated over and over again. In the day and age of instant celebrity in which we live, this may be true.
Over the next four weeks, join us as we reach back into the biblical narratives to discover some interesting individuals who appear in a significant fashion and then quickly disappear. What can we learn from their experiences and why should it even matter to us? Each week we will make these discoveries together.
July 5th: Naaman: Surrender Happens
July 12th: Rahab: She Is Who You Think She Is
July 19th: Mephibosheth: While You Are Winning

The Crossing is offering another opportunity this August to support the ongoing rebuilding efforts in New Orleans. We have been partnering with local churches and organizations in New Orleans by sending teams of volunteers for the past two years, and are looking for leaders to step forward and be a part of this exciting and rewarding ministry. The Gulf Coast has made amazing progress since the unimaginable devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005, but the efforts to rebuild will take years and years. Please prayerfully consider how God can use your talents and abilities to support this ministry. The cost $275 which includes airfare, transportation and lodging for the week.
Note: The cost is subject to change due to airfare rate increase. So please sign up today at the Information booth or e-mail Mike Lee at mlee107@cox.net for more information. Mission Trip Dates: August 8/9 through August 15/16. Arrival and departure dates are flexible.

Be a Part of Launching “the six.” Coming…October 2009
Published June 6, 2009 Serving Opportunities , get involved , weekend gatherings Leave a CommentIt begins 10.4.09. It’s our new Sunday evening venue at The Crossing and we are excited for this new opportunity. This different service time will provide the opportunity for individuals to connect with God and to community in an environment providing an intimate, casual atmosphere mirroring our Sunday morning…on Sunday Evening. We are looking for individuals currently attending The Crossing who may be interested in attending this new service as it launches in the fall. We are committed to seeing a core group of 100+ individuals who will “seed” this service by making it their regular worship gathering at The Crossing. In addition key individuals are needed who are willing to express and use their leadership gifts in assisting with the launching of this new venue. We are in the midst of exciting times here at The Crossing as we experience tremendous growth on Sunday mornings as well as numerous baptisms. The launching of this venue provides another gathering point as we strive to reach the Las Vegas valley. Each evening will include great worship in an intimate, casual atmosphere as well as our outstanding kids ministry. Our message will come via high quality video from our Sunday morning experience. Again, as a part of this process, we want to provide a place for committed individuals to invest themselves in this new venture.
Perhaps you have been looking for a place to connect. the six. may be exactly what you are looking for. So here’s a first step for you…

Game show was right on target! This past Sunday, children from elementary ministry took part in our Game Show event. This game show was called Bullseye. Kids were quizzed on questions based on class lessons from the last few months and participated by groovin’ to the music.
The winning team earned an X or O in hopes to win a tic tac toe and the overall game. The losing team gave up a child and a teacher to have to face consequences, such as silly string, or whipped cream pies in the face!
The game show occurs every few months to review bible stories and lessons. Everyone had a blast and we encourage the kids to prepare for the next game show event on Sunday, October 25th during all three services. They won’t want to miss it!
